Log in to the Modernized E-File portion of the Internal Revenue Service website (See Resources). This is the only place where a corporation can electronically file for an extension of time. If you are not registered, you will need to be before logging in.

Enter your new (or existing) user name and password to log on. Choose the option for filing an automatic extension of time.

Enter your corporate information and estimated tax owed. Enter your payment information to cover the amount of the estimated tax your corporation owes and click on the “Submit” button. You now have an additional six months to file your corporate tax return.
