How to Learn Fluent Spanish in Six Months
- 1). Submerge yourself with language-learning materials. Purchase workbooks, textbooks and a Spanish language dictionary. Complete all lessons--in prescribed order--in a thorough manner. Listen to audio instructional CDs and watch instructional videos as often as possible. Write vocabulary words on flashcards and quiz yourself during any free time. Dedicate at least one hour per day to language studying.
- 2). Find a tutor or a Spanish language class to attend at least once or twice a week. Complete all assignments and engage the teacher and other students in conversation as often as possible. Take a class with a professional instructor to give you critical experience learning language rules, writing the language and applying the rules to speech. Ask every question you have so you can expedite your clarity of the language.
- 3). Find a part-time job working with Spanish speaking staff. Work at a Mexican or Spanish restaurant, for example, and communicate with Spanish-speaking servers, kitchen staff and management team members in their native language. Travel to Spanish-speaking countries and involve yourself in volunteer opportunities to complete your immersion in the language and accelerate your learning.
