Strut Your Stuff on the Copywriter"s Catwalk
The fashion industry isn't one that I am particularly interested, but I was reading an article the other day about it that got me thinking.
The media is full of images of super skinny models showing off the latest seasons designer outfits.
But the clothes just hang off their emaciated bodies giving normal people no idea of what the outfit would actually look like one a 'real' person.
Let's face it, most of the models look as though they'd snap if they turned too quickly, sneezed or stumbled off one of their overly high heeled shoes.
Now let me ask the audience something - what do you see as being more attractive? These fragile half-starved models or the 1930s ideal of a beautiful woman with rounded hips, thighs and bellies? There is no substance to toady's models - when they turn sideways they disappear! So what has all this got to do with a copywriting? Well, think of your website as a catwalk model.
If it is lean and starved of words and content, Google can't see it.
But if it is well fed with relevant keyword rich content, Google will not only see it, it will shout about it to anyone who will listen.
A large website with generous amounts of copywriting is the best way to get your company noticed.
But remember your content must be interesting, engaging and relevant otherwise it will be of no use to man nor beast, it will just be taking up valuable space.
Your website copywriting should be relevant to your business.
If you are writing your own copy make sure you write it for your reader.
If you are getting a copywriter to write it, make sure you provide a brief that really gets across your product, its benefits and details of your target audience.
One of the key factors for great organic search results is content.
The more relevant copy you have on your site, the more likely you are to rank well in the search engine results.
