How to Decorate With Concrete Forms
- 1). On your patio, place a concrete fountain in the center to serve as a focal point and provide a soothing sound. Use concrete planters instead of terracotta pots, and place them along the patio's edges. Use concrete forms in the shape of a table and benches for a sturdy outdoor dining area that requires little maintenance.
- 2). In the garden, use tall concrete columns and wood to form a pergola for vines and hanging plants. Place concrete benches along the garden edges as a place to relax and take in the beautiful sights. Give the birds a place to eat and drink with concrete birdbaths and feeders.
- 3). Indoors, look for new uses for concrete forms. Place miniature cast-concrete pieces in the shape of your choice along a fireplace mantel. Turn a small concrete bird feeder into a candle holder or change storage dish. Use a concrete column as a pedestal for displaying sculpture. Turn two matching forms into bookends.
- 4). Place concrete forms around your entry. Use tall concrete columns to support a small porch roof or medium columns with a flower pot placed on either one. Place a concrete form on one side of the door and place a second one of similar shape and height to create a sense of balance without being totally symmetrical.
- 5). In the yard, line a pathway with small concrete forms such as small animals or patterned concrete bricks. Place the concrete pieces directly next to one another to form a line on either side of the path.
- 6). Use circular, square or oval concrete stepping stone forms to line a small path through your yard or garden. Place them over dirt or grass, leaving a gap of 2 to 3 inches between each one.
