How Does Isotonix Work?
- The concentration of a solution is the amount of molecules in a given amount of liquid. When two solutions with differing concentrations come into contact, molecules travel from the higher concentration solution to the lower. This is called passive diffusion. Isotonix solutions are designed to reach the digestive tract site of absorption in high concentration. This ensures efficient and rapid absorption of nutrients.
- "Gastric emptying time" refers to the amount of time food and other ingested items remain in the stomach. Since minimal absorption occurs in the stomach, a long gastric emptying time delays the absorption of nutritional supplements when they are in the form of pills or capsules. Since Isotonix is already in a properly concentrated solution, the stomach does not need to expend much time or energy in breaking it down.
- Most pill and capsule supplements on the market contain much higher levels of vitamins than are needed. This is because only a small fraction of these vitamins is absorbed. Because Isotonix is very efficiently absorbed, the solution can contain a much smaller amount of vitamins and still meet the consumer's needs.
- Isotonix is a brand owned by Market America. The facilities in which it is produced are certified as having "Good Manufacturing Policies" by the Natural Nutritional Foods Association, NSF International, U.S. Pharmacopeia and Schuster Labs. The vitamin supplements contain neither preservatives nor artificial flavorings. They are sweetened with natural fructose.
- All nutritional supplement ingredients are regulated by the Food and Drug administration (FDA) as foods, rather than drugs; thus, the FDA does not test Isotonix for efficacy but only for its safety for ingestion. The FDA also requires accurate labeling of product ingredients.
