How to Clean Burnt Residue Off of a Fridge
- 1). Boil 2 cups of water. Carefully pour the hot water onto the surface with the burnt residue. If the surface is vertical, place a towel on the floor beneath it and pour the water at an angle so as much gets on the residue as possible. Be very careful not to pour in such a way that the water splashes.
- 2). Dampen the sponge and wipe the residue. Keep wiping until no more of the residue comes off on the sponge. If there is still residue, not just a stain, pour more hot water onto the residue and wipe it again. Do this until the hot water is not removing any more residue.
- 3). Put the rubber gloves on both hands. Spray the burnt residue or remaining stain with kitchen degreaser. Let the degreaser set for one minute.
- 4). Scrub the burnt residue until it comes clean, using the scouring side of the sponge. Reapply degreaser as often as necessary.
- 5). Rinse the sponge off completely with warm water and apply dish soap. Use the sponge to wipe any leftover degreaser off the fridge's surfaces.
