Microsoft Internet Explorer

• Click the "Favorites" button in the upper-left corner of the screen. Select the "History" tab to view the Web browsing history. It is third to the right on the "Favorites" menu. This displays websites your computer has visited in the past.
  
  Sort through the list of visited websites using the drop-down menu. You can sort the sites to "View By Date," "View By Site," View By Most Visited" and "View By Order Visited Today." Click "Search History" to search through all websites.
  
  

Mozilla Firefox

• Click "History" from the main program menu at the top of the screen to see a list of the most recent sites visited. Click "Show All History" to see a complete list.
  
  Select a date range such as "Last 7 days" or "April" to view history for that time period. Click "Views," then "Show columns" at the top of the screen to add additional parameters such as "Visit Date" and "Visit Count" to the list.
  
  

Google Chrome

• Click the "Wrench" icon in the upper-right corner of the screen and choose "History" near the bottom of the menu. Google Chrome automatically displays the title of each page visited along with the date and time. Scroll down or use the Search bar at the top of the page to navigate through the results.
  
  

Apple Safari

• The steps for viewing history in Safari are very similar to Google Chrome. Click the "Gear" icon in the upper-right corner of the Safari window and choose "History" from the menu. Safari displays a list of visited websites along with a picture of each one.
  
  

Limitations

• Note that the Web browsers mentioned all have a private browsing feature that turns off tracking. The "History" feature won't display these websites. It's also possible for someone to manually delete websites from the history page without your knowledge.
