How to Troubleshoot the Samsung HT-WS1G
- 1). Lift the back plate off of the remote control, and remove the batteries. Insert the replacement AAA batteries into the remote control's battery compartment with the "+" and "-" ends of the batteries matching the compartment's sticker. Batteries last in the remote control for up to one year.
- 2). Disable the Bluetooth feature on any nearby mobile phones or computers, as the Bluetooth signal can cause interference with the speaker system that results in a popping static noise. Alternatively, unplug any microwaves or movie devices that use a 2.4 GHz frequency from the subwoofer to reduce interference.
- 3). Check the audio cables on your television to ensure that they are properly inserted. The white end of the audio cable goes into the left "L" audio out port, and the red cable goes into the right "R" audio out port.
- 4). Unplug the power cable from the back of the speaker system, and plug it back in to restore button functionality. If there is static electricity, unplugging the device and powering it back on corrects the issues.
