How to Get Rid of Yellow & Black Layer Boundary Lines in GIMP
- 1). Open GIMP and click "Edit" from the menu.
- 2). Select "Preferences" from the drop-down menu. You can change your preferences for the GIMP interface, theme and image display here.
- 3). Click the "Image Windows" tab from the menu to the left of the screen and select "Appearance" from the options. There are two modes you can disable the layer boundary line for: normal and full screen.
- 4). Look to the section labeled "Default Appearance in Normal Mode." Uncheck the box next to "Show layer boundary."
- 5). Look at the next section labeled "Default Appearance in Fullscreen Mode." Uncheck the box next to "Show layer boundary."
- 6). Click "OK." You can open an image to verify that the yellow and black layer boundary lines are no longer present.
