Your pet needs toys just as much as it needs food. Dogs like to play around with toys of all forms and sizes as they get their happiness from constant play and recreation. Soft or Hard Toys

It actually depends upon your dog's requirement whether you will give a soft or a hard toy. Soft toys apparently work better for puppies. For adult dogs, hard toys will be a lot more appropriate especially if your dog likes to chew things off. Go for the ones that are beneficial other than just being played upon. For example, go for toys that are educational for the dog while it plays the toys.

If your dog has an obsessive chewing habit, it might already be helpful if you introduce chewing toys. It will help your dog deal with its chewing tendencies at a certain degree. There are also some chewing toys that help your puppy get through its teething stage. This will ease the agitation your puppy feels as it undergoes teething stage.
