Potty Training Charts - Are They Helpful?
So the time has come to potty train your child and you are probably a little worried about it.
Well the good news is it's not that difficult and with a little guidance it can be done with ease.
Today I want to discuss a very helpful tool, it's the potty training chart.
When my wife and I were preparing to start the training process with our daughter we researched different techniques and methods to accomplish this.
We came across several different programs and several different tools that promised to aid us in the training process.
One of the best tools we invested in was the potty training chart.
It was a great visual guide that really helped our daughter in getting potty trained.
She was able to see for herself her own progress, and where she was in the training process.
For each little step forward she took she was given a star sticker to put on the chart, and was also given lots of praise.
Praise is very important to children and it goes a long way.
By our daughter being able to see and follow her progress with potty training chart she became very proud as she watched as more and more stars were placed on the chart.
She was very excited and tried very hard to get more and more stars.
She would wake up in the morning and first thing would ask to take her diaper off and put on big girl undies, so that she could place a new sticker on her potty training chart.
