How to Replace the Control Board on a Fisher Paykel Dishwasher
Things You'll Need
Instructions
1Flip the switch at your electrical breaker box to the “Off” position to turn off your Fisher & Paykel dishwasher.
2
Pull the bottom drawer out as far as it will go and lift out the dish rack.
3
Look inside the tub on the bottom drawer. You will see a plastic pin on each side of the front of the drawer.
4
Remove each of the pins with needle-nose pliers by clasping the pin and pulling it out.
5
Push down on the drawer’s front to unhinge the handle from the handle top tabs. You will see the ground wire connected to the tab.
6
Lift the ground wire off the tab and slide the drawer out. You now have access to the control board on the right side.
7
Push in on the tab that holds the wire harness in place and unplug the wire harness. You may need to use a flat-head screwdriver to help you push in the tab.
8
Push in on the tab on each side of the control board and remove the control board. There is one tab on each side of the control board.
9
Line the new control board up and secure it to the tabs by pushing it into place until the tabs lock.
10
Plug the wire harness into the new control board.
11
Slide the drawer back into place, and then push the pins back into the tub drawer.
12
Return power to the dishwasher by flipping the electrical breaker switch back to the “On” position.
