How to Remove the Back From a Kenmore Washer 110.22912101
- 1). Disconnect the washing machine from the electrical outlet and slide it away from the wall.
- 2). Pull the drain hose out of the floor drain.
- 3). Turn the water shut-off valves off and then disconnect the water hoses from the washing machine with pliers.
- 4). Remove the screws from the control panel end-caps with a screwdriver and then pull the end caps off the control panel.
- 5). Raise the control panel up while you pull forward on it. This will remove the control panel form its hinge. Disconnect the wiring harness and then place the panel off to the side.
- 6). Locate the two top retaining clips that secure the back of the machine to the top panel. Press a screwdriver between the clips and the back of the washing machine and pry them apart.
- 7). Hold the back panel of the washing machine with one hand and then tilt the top and front of the machine forward to disconnect the lower retaining clips.
- 8). Place the washing machine back onto all four feet and slide the back panel away from the washing machine.
