How to Remove A Bezel From a 2006 Charger
- 1). Examine thoroughly the bezel you wish to remove. Look around the edges, and look at the trim panels surrounding it at all sides. Ensure the bezel does not interconnect or otherwise interlock with the panels around it. If it does, trying to remove it will damage the Charger's dashboard.
- 2). Examine the panels that interlock with the bezel you wish to remove. Ensure that the panels do not interlock with any others.
- 3). Examine the panel for visible screws and remove them with a screwdriver. Wrap tape around the head of a flat head screwdriver. This will help guard against accidentally damaging the panels or any components attached.
- 4). Insert the wrapped screwdriver into the dashboard, along the edges of the panel. Slowly pry the panel out. This will disengage any retaining clips behind the panel. Use more than one prying point if necessary.
- 5). Look for visible retaining screws on the bezel and remove them. Some may have been hidden behind the panels removed.
- 6). Slide the tape wrapped screwdriver along the edge of the bezel. Slowly pry the bezel outwards. Some larger bezels, like the one containing the Charger's instrument panel, will require more than one prying point. The prying action will also disengage any hidden retaining clips.
- 7). Lift the bezel out after it has been fully detached from any hidden retaining clips.
