The Important Elements That Go Into a Eulogy Speech

13
Perhaps the eulogy speech is the most heartrending speech that one can ever prepare or deliver in one's life.
There is nothing more moving or touching than to render a eulogy for a dearly departed.
A eulogy speech is also one of the more challenging speeches to make.
You are not only dealing with your own emotions but you also have to consider the emotional status of the audience.
You are challenged to help them focus on how the departed celebrated his life, gave meaning to it, and divert their attention from the pain and grief that they are feeling with the demise of their loved one.
Your eulogy speech should be able to contain the following elements: (1) introduction, (2) highlights of the speech, (3) conclusion.
Your speech should not exceed five (5) minutes and should have all your points covered.
When you write the eulogy speech, you have to carefully choose the words that you are going to use.
As it is a celebration of life of the departed and in consideration of the highly emotional state of being of the audience, you want to come up with a speech that will help the audience remember the departed in life.
Stay away from picturing the departed as a person that was larger than life.
You have to present the eulogy speech as real, natural, and honest as possible.
Focus on the good memories and how these memories can help the audience move on with their lives now that the departed has gone back to the Lord.
