Water filtration is a general term that refers to any type of filtration system or process that is used to filter out particles and/or pollutants from water. Water filtration systems can include activated carbon filters, UV light units, reverse osmosis, water distillers, or other water treatment process. The term is also applicable to either home units, municipal or public water treatment processes.
