How To Build Your Muscular Strength And Endurance

3
Muscular Strength and Endurance Muscular strength is the amount of force a muscle can produce with a single maximum effort.
Muscular endurance is the ability to resist fatigue whilst holding or repeating a muscular contraction (tensing).
Whether you're a competitive athlete, a person who enjoys recreational hobbies or just trying to live your best life, every part of your body requires muscular endurance, muscular strength, speed, power and flexibility to reach your optimal fitness.
There is no quick fix to strength training.
Like any other form of exercise it will takes around 4 - 6 weeks to start and see results.
It doesn't matter what build you are it is possible for your body to build muscle if this is what they wish you just need the right program and diet it also requires dedication.
There are two types of muscular strength.
Absolute muscular strength is the first type of muscular strength.
A person able to lift 110 pounds is stronger in absolute muscular strength than a person able to lift only 90 pounds.
People with high levels of muscular strength and endurance are able to perform daily tasks more efficiently.
Relative muscular strength is the second type of muscular strength.
It is more important than absolute muscular strength.
Relative strength is a more all round strength.
For Example guys will look big and ripped with their shirts off and just normal or "well built" in clothes.
To put it simply, bigger is not always better.
Muscular endurance is measured by the amount of resistance (or weight) and the number of repetitions (or "reps").
A person who can properly lift 75 pounds for 15 reps has greater muscular endurance than a person of the same gender who can only do 10 reps with the same amount of weight.
As with muscular strength, good health and fitness depend more on relative muscular endurance than on absolute endurance.
According to the overload principle, to improve a muscle's strength or endurance, you must first overload that muscle.
In resistance training, overloading means putting more stress, in the form of weight or resistance, on a muscle than it is accustomed to handling.
As your muscles gradually adjust to the increased stress, you need employ progressive resistance to increase the workload further and make the muscles stronger.
There are five components of progressive resistance training: weight training weight lifting bodybuilding strength training rehabilitation A gym or leisure centre is a good place to start if you're interested in doing resistance training (also called strength training, weight training or weight lifting).
This involves working a muscle or group of muscles against resistance to increase strength and power.
Resistance training can include using:
  • Equipment like medicine balls or weight machines
  • Resistance tubes or bands during exercises
  • Your own body as a weight, as you would do during push-ups or sit-ups
  • One of the best ways to improve muscle endurance is to engage in cardiovascular activity, such as gentle running or jogging (depending on your level of fitness), cycling, walking or a variety of sports.
Activities such as running and walking can help to improve the condition of the leg muscles, but if upper body endurance is you goal, exercises that use your body weight such as: chin ups, push ups and tricep dips can be beneficial and contribute to an increase in strength.
Of course, you don't have to go to a gym or buy exercise equipment to improve muscular strength and endurance.
Doing normal daily activities like lifting groceries or walking up and down stairs can also help.
You can also do many exercises at home that don't need equipment, like push-ups and sit-ups.
All you have to do is challenge your muscles to work harder or longer than they usually do.
Some good fun activities that can be done at home include fitness dvd's and wii fit which improve strength and fitness but can be fun and enjoyed with friends.
