Determine the amount of your rebate.
Unlike cash for clunkers program, you wont have to drag your refrigerator down to the appliance store to receive your rebate. Most industry estimates call for the rebates to be between $50.00 and $200.00 for energy saving appliances labeled with the "energy star" tag.
This will also spur related industry business sales. Those old appliances have to be hauled away and properly disposed of, so junk hauling companies will likely see a jump in service sales. - 3
