First of all, the simplest and fastest way is to ask one of your close friends and relatives to help you. You can trust on them. It's better to choose one whose house your cat has been to and who knows the basic skills of taking care of a pet. Such as how much water and food your pet need per day, when to take your pet for a walk or for a bathe, how often should the litter box be cleaned and so on.

Things are a little bit complicated so you have to be careful choose the right person, if you do not have such choices, you can simply hire a pet sitter - a professional one who can take good care of your love kitty. Remember to invite the pet sitter over to meet your cat before you leave home, your cat will not follow one who is barely known. If you hire a pet sitter, you also need to notify this to your vet, so your pet sitter can bring your kitty in for medical care. Write down the vet's phone number and address and put it in the doorway, your pet sitter may need it for emergency.

Prepare enough fresh food and water for your cat. The last thing you can do is to leave your cat hungry and thirsty, this can be fatal. Your pet sitter cannot be around with your cat all day long, so you'd better choose an automatic food feeder and water feeder, and then your cat can have fresh food and water throughout the day. Also prepare more than one litter box and ask the pet sitter to change the litter and clean the box in a regular time.

The last one is to keep your cat entertained. Make sure your cat has access to all the favorite toys. To avoid accidents, all toys should be beyond the cat's reach.
