Exposure by Susan Andersen, published in 1999 by Zebra. Emma Sands is on the run with her three-year-old daughter Grace after learning the man who treated her like his own daughter has been obsessed with her for decades.


She ends up in the fishing village of Port Flannery in Washington, hoping to rest for a few days. After an altercation with a local mechanic, she meets Sheriff Elvis Donnelly, six and half feet of solid muscle, and a victim of a horrible bomb blast that has left him with a facial scar and a hook for his missing hand. He takes it upon himself to watch out for Emma and her adorable daughter who treats him like a hero. But Emma is constantly looking over her shoulder as her stalker waits for the perfect moment to steal back her back.

Exposure is one of Susan’s most popular titles. Even with the tension and suspense, there are moments of humor in the form of Elvis’s mother, and little Emma herself. A must read romantic thriller with very unique and loveable characters.

The Long Way Home by Z.A. Maxfield, self-published in 2012. Former cop and psychic Kevin Quinn is asked to help on case regarding missing boys. He’s partnered with Conner Dougal, a new detective on the force who is doesn’t believe in Kevin’s psychic abilities.

As these two search for an elusive criminal targeting children, Kevin and Conner’s professional relationship turns into something more personal between the two as they both battle past hurts.

The Long Way Home is a mystery suspense with a great romance in the mix between two emotionally scarred men. They dedicated to one another in ways they would have never expected as they try to stop a devious madman.

Going Too Far byJennifer Echols, published by Pocket Books in 2009. Meg hates her backwater hometown and constantly gets into trouble. She ends up on a bridge where a few years ago some teens were killed by a train. Her punishment for her crime is riding in a police car on the overnight shift during the week of her The cop she’ll ride with is the one who almost arrested her, Officer John After. John is nineteen and went to the same high school with Meg. As they ride side by side, they learn about one another, and from that their opinions about each other change. She suddenly finds herself attracted to him because the way he treats her is unlike the other boys she hangs around with.

Going Too Far is a coming of age story about opposites attracting. John is Meg’s counterpart, the complete opposite of her and her outlook on life. John holds up a mirror to Meg, where he shows Meg in simple terms that bigger and better is not always the case. These two may seem so wrong for one another but Jennifer Echols' skill makes the reader believe in these two.

Liberating Lacey by Anne Calhoun, published by Ellora’s Cave in 2010. Lacey Meyers is a free woman after fifteen years of marriage. At thirty-six, she wants to get back into the dating scene, but is wary of doing so since the only man she has ever been with intimately was with her ex-husband. She heads to a nightclub a local paper awards the “Best Place to Meet Someone New.” She meets a man who sends an electric shock through her body. The object of Lacey’s lust introduces himself as twenty-eight year old Hunter, who also happens to be a cop. Lacey scores big with this younger hunk, and she brings him home. Hunter thinks Lacey is very different from all the other women he’s been with. She doesn’t expect anything else from him. But these two have such a strong connection and decide to take a shot with one another regardless of their age difference and social status.

Liberating Lacey is borderline erotic romance with a great heroine. Hunter may come across as this self-assured, alpha male, but he’s very much a beta at heart who adores Lacey. A steamy opposites attract romance that hits the spot in all the right ways.

Bonds of Justice(Psy-Changeling #8) by Nalini Singh, published by Berkley in 2010. Max Shannon, a New York Enforcement human detective is working on a serial killer case. Sophia Russo, a J-Psy, who has the ability to retrieve memories from people helps also. But then Max is taken off the case and ordered to investigate a crime in San Francisco. Someone is targeting and killing the Psy Councilors' closest advisors. And if this killer isn't stopped and fast, the high ranking Councilors may be next. Max is in for a surprise when he finds out that Sophia will be his partner. Sophia is afraid of her feelings for Max, but because her time is limited, she throws caution to the wind and welcomes his affection. But a deadly individual is waiting for the right moment to strike against Max and take away Sophia.

Bonds of Justice delivers a jammed packed, adrenaline rush of a story with an amazing couple Max is an extremely tender hero, who wants to help Sophia enjoy all life has to offer through his loving touch.
