How to Install Garmin Mobile on a PC
- 1). Insert the Garmin Mobile PC DVD into the DVD drive on your laptop. Click "Next" and answer all of the questions that the installation wizard asks you. Look for the product key on the product packaging. Enter the product key into your computer when the installation wizard prompts you to.
- 2). Place the GPS receiver on a flat surface and connect the USB able of the GPS receiver into your laptop. Place the suction cup close to the GPS receiver and insert the cable of the GPS receiver into the suction cup. Attach the suction cup securely to a hard surface. Do this only if a GPS receiver came with your Garmin Mobile PC.
- 3). Open the Garmin Mobile PC program on your laptop or notebook computer. Move to an open area, such as a place away from tall buildings and out of parking garages so the device can acquire GPS signals. It may take a few minutes to acquire satellite signals. Wait until at least one green bar in the upper-right corner of the "Menu" page is visible before searching for a destination.
