How to Remove the Drain Plug Hose on the LG Washer WM0642H
- 1). Unplug the LG washer power cord from the wall outlet and give the water time to cool.
- 2). Flip the top of the drain pump filter access panel down to reveal the drain plug hose and the pump filter. The access panel is on the lower right front corner of the washer.
- 3). Set a small bucket or catch basin near the drain pump filter access. Turn the end of the drain plug hose clockwise and unclip it from the clip retainer.
- 4). Pull the drain plug hose out of the washer as far as it will extend. Pull the plug out of the end of the hose. If necessary, hold the hose in one hand and twist the plug out with a pair of pliers. Allow the water to drain completely.
- 5). Turn the drain filter pump counterclockwise to disengage it from the housing and pull it straight out of the washer. Look inside the housing for the other end of the drain plug hose. Push the hose back in as necessary until you can grab the opposite end.
- 6). Cut the hose just behind the concave washer on the end of the hose with a utility knife. The concave plastic washer looks similar to a compression washer on a plumbing line. Pull the hose completely out of the washer.
