How to Create Dashed Lines in Photoshop

    • 1). Launch Photoshop. Scroll to the "Toolbar" on the left side of your screen to choose your "Brush Tool." At the top of your screen, you will see the Brush Tool panel. Click the second icon, which has three brushes, to open the window for the Brushes palette, or click "F5." If it's not already selected, click the "Brush" tab and then click "Brush Tip Shape."

    • 2). Pick a Square brush shape. Reduce the "Roundness" to 32% to get the horizontal dash. Increase the "Spacing" to 181% to create spacing within the line.

    • 3). Change the "Angle" to 90 degrees. Then change the "Diameter" to 14 pixels. Close the Brush palette, and use your brush to draw a dashed line.
