How to Know When Your Dishwasher Has Died
- 1). Move your dishwasher unit away from the wall and make sure the power supply is fully plugged in.
- 2). Check the circuit breaker in your home to make sure the unit is turned on in your kitchen.
- 3). Open the dishwasher door and then shut it to make sure the door securely shuts. A broken door latch can sometimes cause the dishwasher to not work at all.
- 4). Open the dishwasher door again and open the rinse aid compartment. Fill the compartment to the "Full" level, and then close the compartment.
- 5). Press the "On" button and select any other settings. If the unit doesn't turn on at, with no sound, lights or running water then your dishwasher is completely dead.
