Medical Romance Novels can be quite the emotional reads. A heroine in a caregiving role, such as a doctor, nurse or therapist is a great way to highlight the heroine’s independence and giving nature.

The Passion of Patrick MacNeill is a lovely contemporary romance with some great messages underneath the love story. Both protagonists are very independent and strong willed, but are very caring to their families and loyal friends. The romance factor is a slow build of acting on passion for the main couple, which ends with some nice love scenes.

The Drifter by Susan Wiggs, published by Mira Books in 2003. Dr. Leah Mundy is committed to healing the sick, but has struggled her whole life to win the approval of her difficult and emotional distant father. Now that her father has died, she has built a life on Puget Sound’s Whidbey Island as the town physician. Jackson yearns for a quiet life and a possible future with Leah, even though his past could catch up with him at any moment.

The Drifter is a very unique historical romance set in 1894, with a smart and independent heroine, who finds love with a man who could destroy all she has worked hard for. Readers will be enthralled with this thrilling page turner that includes great sexual tension between Leah and Jackson.

How to Marry a Millionaire Vampire (Love at Stake #1) by Kerrelyn Sparks, published by Avon in 2005. The rich and handsome Roman Draganesti hides a big secret. How to Marry a Millionaire Vampire is a rip-roaring, hilarious paranormal romance that may have readers holding their stomachs because they’re laughing too hard. Roman is not your typical brooding vampire hero, and neither is Shanna, the human heroine who steals his heart. These two have many differences they have to work through before they can claim their HEA, which will leave many readers more than satisfied.

Seducing Cinderella is a steamy romance with a hero and heroine reader will root for.
