How to Defragment Unmoveable Files

    • 1). Restart your computer.

    • 2). Tap "F8" on your keyboard to load the Windows Boot Menu. Highlight "Start Windows in Safe Mode" and select the "Enter" key to boot Windows into Safe Mode.

    • 3). Click "Start" and "All Programs."

    • 4). Click "Accessories" and "System Tools."

    • 5). Click "Disk Defragmenter." Click "Defragment Disk." The utility will now be able to rearrange the previously unmovable data thanks to your computer being booted into Safe Mode.
