How to Use a Gas Weed Wacker
- 1). Fill the weed whacker with fuel to the appropriate level.
- 2). Check the trimmer line and wind more line if necessary.
- 3). Set the engine to Full Choke.
- 4). Prime the engine by depressing the primer bulb five times.
- 5). Squeeze throttle with left hand and pull swiftly on the engine starter line once.
- 6). Move the engine to the Half Choke position.
- 7). Squeeze the throttle with your left hand and pull swiftly on the engine start line until the engine turns over but not more than five times. Keep the trimmer head on the ground while doing this. If it does not start go back and repeat steps three through seven until it turns over.
- 8). Move the engine to the Run position.
- 9). Squeeze the throttle with your left hand and pull swiftly on the engine start line until the engine starts but not more than five times. If it does not start go back and repeat step seven.
- 1). Tilt the trimmer at a 30-degree angle with you right hand on the throttle and left hand on the guide handle.
- 2). Squeeze the throttle and sweep the trimmer head across the area you are cutting in a gentle motion.
- 3). Release the throttle when moving or not cutting.
- 4). Bump the trimmer head on the ground to release more string when it runs short.
