Many backyards have large landscaped lawns, but this can be boring if there is little visual appeal added to the yard such as concrete water fountains, which are regarded as quite aesthetically pleasing.
While large lawns can look amazing when well taken care of but adding something extra to them can make your lawn the talk of the entire neighborhood.
One of the more popular design items you can add to your lawn design plan is a concrete water fountain - they look amazing and are for the most part, low maintenance.
Lawn Shape and Concrete Water Fountains If you have a perfectly square lawn, it is best to place a standing concrete fountain directly in the middle of the grass area.
This can actually make your lawn look bigger, and it won't interfere with anything else placed in your yard.
Tall concrete fountains work best when placed inside of a square lawn, since they will actually work to extend your lawn and make it look even larger.
The only downfall with placing concrete fountains in the center of your lawn is that it may flatten the grass underneath it.
However, it shouldn't be an issue if you plan on keeping the fountain in that specific location permanently.
But it may cause problems if you decide to move it to another area.
If you are worried about this happening, you may want to choose to install 1-3 wall fountains in the surrounding areas.
Wall fountains can be placed on practically any wall, since they are just like standing fountains but have a flat backside.
They can be placed on the edge of your lawn against a back wall, or even against a sidewall if you wish as many high quality wall fountains have flat bases.
No matter where you choose to put it, make sure it is either centered on the wall or place it in a corner if you wish to go with a fountain made to fit.
Placing fountains in an odd location can throw off your entire lawn design, and can actually make it end up looking smaller than it really is.
