FUN-FILLED DAY AT ADLABS IMAGICA THEME PARK!
Nothing can be more exciting than spending a day with your family or friends at a theme park rather than just killing time at the ever famous shopping malls in the city. Materializing this wish, film maker Manmohan Shetty opens the door of India's largest entertainment based park - ADLABS IMAGICA.
Pitched as the country's 'Disneyland', Adlabs Imagica hosts India's biggest rollercoaster, a free vertical fall from 132 feet at 73 km/hr (Dare Drop) and the country's first dome theatre. Conceptualized six years ago and bragged off as the largest amusement park in South Asia, this amusement theme park is situated at Sangewadi on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. It spreads over a vast 300 acre land with 21 rides of international standards, including one ride based on the acclaimed Bollywood movie 'Mr. India' and the best part is all the rides incorporate the 4D stimulation technology. The major attractions of the park are the unique Indian culture and folklore themed rides like Alibaba Aur Chaalis Chor, Bandits of Robin Hood, I for India and Lochness Explorers, which exhibits amplified real-life effects.
Categorized into 5 groups named after the continents, the theme park has formally opened its gates of entertainment for the public with only 16 rides currently in use. The rest 5 rides are expected to be ready by June 2013. Along with these rides, the park houses other attractions and several restaurants serving cuisines from around the world. In the next one year a water theme park along and a hotel will be added to the theme park's grounds.
Unlike other amusement parks in the country, Adlabs Imagica's unique shuttle facility is tailored made to meet the need of the visiting crowd - They need not walk if they don't want to! The shuttle service acts like the cab service taking visitors to different rides in case they don't prefer to walk. Also there are plenty of indoor attractions added to the park, keeping in mind the scroching summers and monsoon rains. The entertainment center also boasts of accommodating 20,000 visitors at a time and plans to have more rides based on Indian themes and concepts.
The Adlabs Imagica tickets are priced at Rs.1,200 for adults and Rs.900 for children on weekdays. The ticket prices are Rs.1,500 and Rs.1,200 for adults and children, respectively on weekends. The V.I.P. In India can pick the 'Imagica Express' special tickets, priced at Rs.2,200 for adults and Rs.1,900 for children to avoid the long queues at the rides. Also the tickets can be easily booked online, to avoid the long queues, saving on time and energy.
While not the first but definitely the largest amusement theme park of the country, the company plans for its second venture in Hyderabad by early 2015.
