How to Clean a Double Oven Electric Range
- 1). After each use, spray the range with an all-purpose cleaner.
- 2). Allow the all-purpose cleaner to sit on the range for up to five minutes.
- 3). Wipe up the cleaner using a rag, removing any obvious stains or dirt.
- 4). Once a week, remove the drip pans from under the electric coils. Spray them with all-purpose cleaner and allow it to sit for up to five minutes. Wipe out the cleaner using a rag and replace the drip pans.
- 1). Put on rubber gloves. Pour 1/2 cup of ammonia into a bowl.
- 2). Place the bowl into the bottom oven and close the door. Allow the bowl to remain in the oven for four hours.
- 3). Remove the ammonia from the oven. Combine it with a quart of warm water.
- 4). Remove the racks from the bottom oven. Scrub the racks using steel wool and the ammonia mixture. Wash the sides and bottom of the oven using a rag and the ammonia mixture.
- 5). Repeat Steps 1 through 4 for the top oven.
