How to Clean Pergo Wood Floors
- 1). Remove loose dirt, dust and debris from your Pergo floor with a broom, dust mop or vacuum cleaner with a hard floor attachment.
- 2). Fill a bucket with warm water. Dip a mop into the water and wring it out well. The mop should only be damp, not soaking wet.
- 3). Mop the Pergo flooring with the plain water. Overlap your mop strokes to ensure you don't miss any spots. Let the floor air-dry, but if you see any spots of excessive water wipe them up with a soft cloth.
- 4). Mix ½ cup of household ammonia or 1 cup of white vinegar into a gallon of warm water if your Pergo flooring is in need of a deep clean. Dip a mop into the cleaning solution, wring it out well and use it to mop the floor. Buff the floor with a soft cloth if you see any spots of excessive liquid. Otherwise, let the floor air dry.
