How to Remove Oil From a Driveway
- 1). Sprinkle a layer of kitty litter over the oil spot(s). Push it back and forth over the area with a push broom. Scoop up the litter with a dust pan and place it into an old coffee can for disposal.
- 2). Mix 2 cups of grease-removing detergent with 2 gallons of warm water in a large bucket. Pour this mixture over the area and use the push broom to scrub well. Rinse with a few buckets of hot water.
- 3). Spray on a layer of oven cleaner if it is a concrete driveway. Scrub the surface with a small wire brush. Rinse with a water hose.
- 4). Scrub the concrete driveway with the detergent and water mixture one more time. Rinse with the garden hose and let the concrete completely dry before using.
