How to Clean Food Dye Stain From Carpet
- 1). Pour some white vinegar onto a clean rag and dab at the food dye stain. The vinegar will help remove some of the stain and can help break it down for the other cleaning items.
- 2). Combine one part dish detergent with one part glycerin and eight parts water. Mix this up in a spray bottle and shake (make sure the spray bottle is securely closed before doing so).
- 3). Spray the food dye stain with the glycerin and water solution and allow it to sit for a few minutes. This lets the cleaner soak up the stain.
- 4). Dab at the stain with a clean rag. You will see the stain begin to fade away. Continue using your cleaning mixture until the stain is completely gone.
- 5). Apply clean water to a separate rag and rub off the cleaning mixture once the stain has been removed.
