I Need to Know How to Clean a Keg Tap Without a Keg
- 1). Pour the keg tap cleanser into a bucket of water in a ratio of one part cleanser to four parts water or as instructed by the directions on your keg tap cleaner. Mix them well with a wooden paint stirrer.
- 2). Place your keg tap and faucet into the bucket. Allow them to sit there for an hour, letting the bacteria break down.
- 3). Scrub the keg tap and faucet with a wire brush, removing mold and other substances from crevices and hard to reach areas.
- 4). Place the keg tap and faucet under hot running water for at least 10 minutes, to remove any final traces of bacteria or residue from your cleaning agent.
- 5). Wipe the keg tap and faucet dry with a paper towel. Allow them to air dry thoroughly and then give them a final wipe with a dry paper towel.
