How to Remove Tub Decals
- 1). Slide the edge of a knife under the decal. Peel it off, keeping it in one piece if possible. If the decal tears, peel off as much of it as you can.
- 2). Boil 1 cup of vinegar in the microwave or on the stove top. Saturate a cloth in the hot vinegar, taking care not to burn yourself.
- 3). Place the hot vinegar-soaked cloth on the remaining decal adhesive in the tub for 10 to 15 minutes.
- 4). Remove the cloth, and scrub the adhesive with a nylon cleaning brush. Rinse with water.
- 5). Reheat the vinegar and cover the area with the vinegar-soaked cloth again if some adhesive remains. Scrub a second time, removing the last of the adhesive, then rinse the area with water.
