How to Remove Water Stains From Fiberglass Curtains
- 1). Stir half a cup of laundry detergent into a bath half full of hot water. Add a cupful of water conditioner or fabric softener if the water is hard.
- 2). Lay the curtains lengthwise into the water with as few folds as possible. Soak for 30 minutes.
- 3). Gently squeeze the suds through the curtains without rubbing or twisting. Drain the tub and refill with clean warm water. Soak for 10 minutes. Drain and refill two or three times to remove all traces of detergent from the material.
- 4). Lift the curtains from the tub slowly; the water will sheet off the fabric. Drape the curtains over a drying rack or wash line and smooth out the wrinkles by hand.
- 5). Rinse the bathtub thoroughly with plenty of pressure from a hand spray to remove any microscopic glass particles clinging to the surface.
