See a concert at the Salle Albert-Rousseau or the Impérial de Québec. If you appreciate visual arts and sculpture try the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, which houses a collection of works by some of Quebec's greatest artists.
- Quebec City is a great place to take the kids. Village Vacances Valcartier is Canada's largest water park, located just outside of Quebec City, boasting water slides, river rides, karting and a 700-site campground. Méga Parc des Galeries de la Capitale combines the fun of North America's largest indoor amusement park with the shopping and dining amenities of a shopping mall. A roller-coaster, Ferris wheel, merry-go-round and the region's only IMAX theater are just a few of the action-packed experiences waiting to be discovered.
- Go kayaking, sailing and kitesurfing at the Baie de Beauport, hiking through the Base de plein air La Découverte or even dogsledding at Les Secrets Nordiques. There is so much to enjoy outdoors in Quebec City that you won't want to waste a minute in your hotel room.
- The Quebec City Summer Festival began in 1968 by a group of young artists and businessmen who wanted to promote popular music by holding concerts in the city's public spaces. The festival has become the largest outdoor artistic event in Canada with more than 300 shows over the course of 11 days and crowds that reach upwards of 1.7 million. Rock, pop, hip hop, funk, blues, reggae and folk music styles are all represented. The Festival Grand Rire de Québec is Quebec City's own comedy festival, which draws more than 500,000 people each year. Acts feature stand-up comedy, film, improv and live music.
