  Located in the Great Smoky Mountains, Pigeon Forge offers family-friendly vacation activities. One of the main attractions is Dollywood, which features roller coasters, live country music performances, a steam-engine ride, a water park, craft-making demonstrations, festivals and dinner-theater performances. Elsewhere in Pigeon Forge, families can learn about famous automobiles at the Smoky Mountain Car Museum, view dinosaur fossils at Dinosaur Walk or go horseback riding through the Great Smoky Mountains. Many of the city's hotels are near popular attractions and feature amenities such as water slides.

Music Road Hotel

• In the Music Road Hotel's water park, children and adults can float on a lazy river, swim in an indoor or outdoor swimming pool, go down a 60-foot waterslide, relax in a hot tub or enjoy a bite to eat at the poolside snack bar. • Amenities at the Rodeway Inn include an outdoor swimming pool with a children's slide, an outdoor hot tub, a complimentary pancake breakfast, meeting and banquet rooms and a southern-style restaurant.
