How to Remove Grease Stains From a Wooden Cutting Board
- 1). Sprinkle a thick covering of baking soda over the grease stain. The baking soda is a natural absorbent that will quickly pull the grease out of the wood. Let the baking soda sit for five minutes.
- 2). Rinse a nylon scrub brush under warm water and drizzle the brush with a layer of dish soap.
- 3). Scrub the baking soda into the wooden cutting board with the brush. The combination of the baking soda and dish soap will remove any leftover grease residue.
- 4). Wipe the cleaning mixture off of the wood with a damp dish cloth.
- 5). Dry the cutting board with a dish towel. Repeat this procedure as needed until all grease residue is gone.
