How to Get Rid of Hardwood Floor Stains
- 1). Sweep the hardwood floor with a broom, to remove dirt, dust and sand. It is necessary to remove debris off of the floor before attempting to remove stains.
- 2). Dilute one cup of commercial wood floor cleaner with one gallon of lukewarm water, in a cleaning bucket. Dampen a microfiber mop in the solution.
- 3). Mop the stained areas of the hardwood floor with the solution. Inspect the floor for remaining stains.
- 4). Mix one cup of distilled white vinegar with one cup of cold water, in a bowl. Dampen a clean cloth in the solution.
- 5). Rub the cloth over the remaining stains. Dampen another clean cloth with water.
- 6). Blot the dampened cloth over the hardwood floor, to rinse off the solutions. Thoroughly dry the hardwood floor with a clean towel.
