How to Clean New Wood Floors
- 1). Pour two squirts liquid dish detergent into a cleaning bucket, which will work as a cleaner to cut through film and residue.
- 2). Add in 1 cup distilled white vinegar, which will disinfect and deodorize the floor surface, without causing harm to your new wood floors. Fill the bucket the rest of the way with 1 gallon warm water. Swish the bucket as you fill it with water to combine ingredients and form soap suds.
- 3). Dip a mop in this cleaner and wring out as much excess water as possible. Too much water can cause water damage to the wood floors. Rub the damp mop across the wood floors, cleaning as you normally would.
- 4). Repeat as needed. Use this as an all-purpose cleaner to clean and disinfect wood floors.
