Welcome to the new Atlanta.About.com! I’m Kate Parham Kordsmeier and I’ll be your tour guide. I’m a born-and-raised Georgia girl (give me pimiento cheese or give me death!), freelance writer, sushi addict, crazy cat lady, cookbook collector and travel enthusiast with a passion for all things Atlanta. I look forward to sharing all this amazing city has to offer with you (read about my favorite spots in Atlanta here). You can follow along with my adventures on Twitter and Instagram, or sign up for my Newsletter. If you have any questions or comments, please email me at kpkords@gmail.com.
Experience
You may have seen my name before—to date, my work has appeared in more than 100 publications, including USA Today, Travel + Leisure, Wine Enthusiast and The Washington Post, and I also develop recipes for magazines like Cooking Light, Fitness and Shape.
I also wrote the cookbook and dining guide on Atlanta’s restaurant scene called Atlanta Chef’s Table, and I'm the culinary expert for the State of Georgia.
Education
I received my journalism degree from Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia (and a second bachelor's degree from UGA’s College of Family and Consumer Sciences) before striking out on my own as a freelance writer specializing in food, travel and hospitality.
