Princeton University is an Ivy League university located in Princeton, New Jersey. Because of the university's academic reputation, students from all over the world have ambitions to attend. The diversity of the student body's hometowns means parents and friends from far and wide come to Princeton. For all of these visitors, there are several hotels located right near campus. - The Peacock Inn is a short walk from the Princeton campus and is the first boutique luxury hotel in Princeton. Originally a colonial mansion, the Peacock Inn is a small hotel of only 16 guest rooms. Because of its small size, the inn provides luxury amenities such as Hollandia mattresses, heated bathroom floors, flat-screen televisions, iPod docks and a complimentary pair of Frette slippers. Rooms vary from guest rooms to full suites, including a 616-square-foot room with a Jacuzzi tub. As of October 2010, continental breakfasts are available for all guests for $10. The Peacock Inn Restaurant is a four-star restaurant with a seasonal, changing menu. It started as a dinner restaurant but now offers Sunday brunch to guests and Princeton residents alike. For weddings or meetings, the restaurant can be rented with seating available for up to 95 people.

There are 347 guest rooms of various sizes, all with deluxe private bathrooms. Fitness enthusiasts can use the "Stay Fit" gym, jogging track, yoga studio and indoor heated pool. In-hotel dining is available at the Crystal Garden Restaurant for three meals a day. It features American cuisine with an extensive wine list and low-fat items. After dining, guests can go to the Koi Pond Club which is open until midnight on week days and 1 a.m. on weekends. It's a martini bar but offers appetizers as well. What really sets the Hyatt apart from other hotel night life is the Catch a Rising Star comedy club, open every Friday and Saturday from 2:30 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. with two shows per night.

All rooms come with standard amenities and pets are not allowed in the hotel. There is no on-site restaurant but guests are offered a complimentary breakfast every morning and a light meal in the evening in a room off the lobby. There are several restaurants within walking distance, including cafes favored by Princeton students. Homewood Suites is one option for corporate events. It has a package deal with Princeton to provide meeting and conference rooms. Guests simply tell the hotel their needs and the meeting space will be set up upon conference arrival. Accommodations are available at discounted rates for large groups that book in advance.
