Is Windex Good for Cleaning Hardwood Flooring?
- Damp mop the floors with Windex. Lightly spray your mop with the glass cleaner and rub the mop across the floor. Or, dip the mop in the Windex, squeeze out the excess water and apply to the floors with the mop. Mopping with a mixture of equal parts Windex and water is suitable for routine cleaning of the floors.
- Windex cuts through surface stains on the wood floors, including some dried-on stains. It leaves behind a glossy finish, similar to how the floors looked when first installed.
- Never saturate the floors with Windex or any other type of liquid. The wood can absorb large amounts of water, causing the floors to swell or discolor.
