  Originally built in 1888, the Boardwalk at Virginia Beach is a popular tourist destination, according to the Virginia Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau. Visitors who stay in hotels on the Boardwalk are close to venues for activities, including summer concerts that take place on the four oceanfront stages, as well as the annual Neptune Festival and Sand Sculptures. • The Ocean Beach Club resort is one of the newer beachfront resorts on the Boardwalk. With 182 rooms, this hotel provides two outdoor pools, an indoor pool, high-speed wireless Internet access and a fitness center. Rooms have DVD players, plasma televisions, and kitchenettes or full kitchens, depending on room type. A children's activity center is provided as well. Sheraton Virginia Beach Oceanfront

• With 198 rooms and 11 floors, the Sheraton Virginia Beach Oceanfront hotel is a mid-size hotel located on the northern end of the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. Guests can enjoy many amenities including wireless high-speed Internet access, laundry and dry cleaning services, and a hotel concierge. The hotel has two restaurants on-site.
