• Hoedown Island is in central Kentucky's Natural Bridge State Resort Park, and is the heralded home of the Hoedown Island Cloggers dance company. This area of the park features an outdoor stage that hosts live dancing entertainment every Saturday night throughout the year. Tourists who want see this dancing extravaganza, or hike to the park's natural Sky Bridge, can find hotels in and around Natural Bridge State Park. Lil' Abner Motel

• The Lil' Abner Motel is less than 10 minutes from Hoedown Island in Natural Bridge State Resort Park, and provides an outdoor swimming pool with sundeck and a picnic pavilion with barbecue grills. The pavilion hosts up to 100 people. The motel has two-room suites with living rooms, and some with kitchenettes. Pets are welcome for an additional fee. The motel also features murals on the building's interior and exterior that were created by local artist, Danielle Kindred.
  
  The motel is within 10 minutes of Natural Bridge Resort Park attractions such as the wildlife exhibits at the Kentucky Reptile Zoo and the hiking trails in the Red River Gorge. Restaurants in the park include Miguel's, which serves pizza, and has a rock-climbing wall.
  
  

Campton Parkway Inn

• The Campton Parkway Inn is on the eastern edge of Natural Bridge State Resort Park, approximately 20 minutes from Hoedown Island. This two-level innl features a conference room, breakfast area and 41 guest rooms. Some of the guest rooms have whirlpool tubs and sitting areas. Pets may stay for an additional fee.
  
  The inn is within 10 minutes of Campton Lake, which is right off the Combs Mountain Parkway, and Mill Creek Lake, which in the park. Restaurants in Campton are a five-minute drive from the inn; local eateries include Kathy's Diner and the El Cancun Mexican Restaurant.
  
  

Hemlock Lodge

• The Hemlock Lodge is the official lodging for the park. The hotel is within walking distance of Hoedown Island. The lodge features 35 guest rooms with private balconies, and some of them overlook Hoedown Island. Other features include a seasonal outdoor swimming pool -- open from Memorial Day to Labor Day -- and a restaurant, Sandstone Arches, that serves American cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The swimming pool area also features a stone bathhouse.
  
  The lodge is within walking distance of Natural Bridge Park's 20 miles of hiking trails, and Sky Bridge, the natural bridge that the park is named for. Visitors can hike to the Sky Bridge or take advantage of the park's Sky Lift, a 600-foot tramway that ascends from the park's front entrance to the bridge.
