Getting Puff Paint Out of Carpet

6
    • 1). Scoop as much paint off the carpet as possible with a plastic craft knife or the back of a butter knife.

    • 2). Apply non-acetone nail polish remover to a cloth or towel. Begin dabbing from the outside of the stain toward the center.

    • 3). Pour enough glycerin to cover the stain over the stained area. Allow the glycerin to work on the stain for at least an hour.

    • 4). Mix equal parts liquid soap and water. Use a plastic scrubbing sponge to work the soapy mixture into the stain.

    • 5). Rinse the area thoroughly with club soda once the paint stain is fully removed. The club soda helps loosen any remaining paint and soap residue from carpet fibers.

    • 6). Blot the area well until the carpet is completely dry.
