How to Remove Rust & Other Deposits From a Stainless Steel Shower Head
- 1). Pour 1 quart water in a pot large enough for the shower head to fit in. Add 1/2 cup of white vinegar in the water-filled container and mix with a spoon.
- 2). Sit the pot on the stove. Remove the shower head from the shower and submerge it completely in the mixture-filled pot.
- 3). Bring the mixture to a boil. Continue boiling for 15 minutes. Turn the stove off and let the mixture cool completely. Remove the shower head from the pot and rinse with cool water.
- 4). Examine the shower head. Repeat the process if any rust or minerals remains. Scrub difficult-to-remove grime off the shower head with a nylon scrub brush. Rinse the stainless steel shower head clean with cool water.
- 5). Wipe the shower head dry before reattaching it.
