How to Safely Remove Glue From Leather Furniture
- 1). Dampen one end of a cotton ball with the acetone, but do not soak it.
- 2). Test an inconspicuous area of the leather by dabbing it with acetone. Make sure there is no discoloration or other damage to the material.
- 3). Apply acetone to the glue stain using light, sweeping motions with the cotton ball until the residue begins to loosen.
- 4). Use a dry terry cloth or microfiber towel to gently remove the glue. Avoid spreading the acetone onto unaffected areas of the leather.
- 5). Wipe the area clean using warm water and a clean cloth. Apply a household leather cleaner to polish the furniture if the glue stain has dulled it.
