How to Remove Milk Mold From a Thermos
- 1). Fill the sink with one part chlorine bleach to three parts warm water.
- 2). Submerge the thermos in the water. Situate the thermos so that the bleach and water mixture is directly in contact with the milk mold.
- 3). Soak the thermos in the solution for a few hours. Remove from the water and wash with a rag and hot, soapy water. Rinse and dry well.
- 1). Fill a bowl with 2 of cups water. Add 2 tsp. tea tree oil to the bowl.
- 2). Stir the water and oil with a spoon to combine the ingredients. Transfer the solution from the bowl into the thermos. Double the recipe, if necessary, for a large thermos.
- 3). Allow the mixture to sit in the thermos overnight. Discard the mixture the next day.
- 4). Wash the thermos thoroughly with a rag and hot, soapy water. Dry completely with a clean rag.
- 1). Fill a bowl with 2 cups of water. Add 20 drops of grapefruit seed extract to the bowl.
- 2). Stir the ingredients with a spoon to thoroughly combine. Transfer the mixture to the thermos.

- 1). Pour distilled white vinegar into the thermos so that it covers the milk mold. Do not dilute the vinegar.
- 2). Allow the vinegar to sit in the thermos for a few hours.
- 3). Dump the vinegar from the thermos. Wash the thermos with a rag and hot, soapy water. Dry completely with a clean rag.
- 1). Fill the thermos with 3 percent hydrogen peroxide so that it is covering the mold. Do not dilute the peroxide with water.
- 2). Allow the peroxide to sit in the thermos for at least 10 minutes.
- 3). Dump the peroxide from the thermos. Wash the thermos with a rag and hot, soapy water. Rinse and dry completely.
